Welcome to our annual report. The people, events and initiatives that you can read about on these pages will show you some of what we got up to in the last year. I hope they’ll give you a flavour of what it means to be part of the family that is HTH – God’s church at Holy Trinity Hurdsfield.
We haven’t included everything we do – you can find out more about our many groups and activities on other pages of this website.
As I write this, we’re unable to meet in our church building each week, probably for the longest extended time since it was built in 1838. But that doesn’t mean that we stop being HTH. Each of us remains part of this brilliant community of people, even if, for a while, we are physically separated from one another.
In the same way, as we explore new ways to connect with each other, we can remember Paul’s words in Romans 8:38-39 about our connection with the love of God: For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I pray that you will know the love of God deep within your heart, mind and body in the coming days. As you look through these pages, I hope they’ll remind you of the joy and excitement that we share as HTH – a church family continuing to follow Jesus together.
Every blessing to you.
James Gibson Vicar, Holy Trinity Church, Hurdsfield
