Where were you at vicar school?
I trained as part of the dispersed learning programme at Trinity College, Bristol, and was placed at St Mark’s in Bredbury, Stockport, before moving to Macclesfield and HTH.

And before that?
  • Self-employed as a landscaper designing patios and garden rooms, and landscaping outdoor classrooms for schools.
  • Youth worker at All Saints Marple for three years while at university including leading the New Wine detached team.
  • Youth work trainer at The Message Trust. Designing and delivering accredited Youth Work course with the National Open College Network to be delivered to the students at The Message Academy.
  • Foreman at Direct Line Accident Management.

Best things about being a curate?
Meeting people face to face. Building relationships is fundamental to me because when we get to know someone in more depth, we can understand how we can help them better. Also, as we journey alongside people we see just how much they teach us about Christ as we share our lives together.

And shadowing an experienced vicar, who's there to guide you while you explore what that role involves.

Significant others?
  • Jennie
  • Layla –  loves baking and cycling.
  • Lois – crazy about animals, particularly pandas.

If you were an animal, what animal would you be?
Tiger, because they’re grrrrreat! (Frosties, get it?)
