Legacies
Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly and
whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 2 Corinthians 9:6 |
Jesus tells us to use our money wisely and generously. At HTH we try to be increasingly generous. We are so thankful, and we praise God, that many people give faithfully and regularly to support our ministry.
A further way of helping we'd love you to consider is through leaving us a legacy in your will. Being generous in this way would be a lasting expression of your gratitude to God for being part of His amazing family here at HTH. No matter how large or small, every such gift will make a lasting difference as we continue to play our part in growing God’s kingdom. You may wish to specify how we should use your gift, but we'd prefer you to allow the PCC (our board of charity trustees) to decide how best to do this, according to our needs and ambitions at the time. We can't advise you about writing a will, and you'll most likely want to use a solicitor or a will writing service (see below for some options). When writing your will, some suggested wording might be: I give ____ % of my residuary estate OR I give the sum of £ ____ (pounds only) free of all taxes to the Parochial Church Council of the parish of Hurdsfield (Charity number 1140055) in the Diocese of Chester for its general purposes and mission. I declare that the receipt of an officer of the Parochial Church Council shall be sufficient discharge to my executors and trustees. Three ways to take this further
Thank you for being generous with your time in reading this. We hope you'll consider this way of continuing to support HTH's mission. |
