Pastoral Care
At HTH we’re passionate about people being cared for, becoming whole and flourishing as disciples of Jesus. We do this in many different ways:
Small groups for adults
Small groups are our primary source of pastoral support within HTH, with more than half of the adults in our church family being part of a group. These meet weekly to support and encourage one another, study God’s word, and pray together. You can read more about our small groups here.
Extended Pastoral Care
Do you need additional support or encouragement, or know someone who might? Our pastoral care team can help with:
Befriending visits
A set of visits to connect Hurdsfield people with HTH and introduce them to some of the many things we get up to.
Bereavement visits
We offer these as part of our funerals ministry, and to anyone else who’s grieving and would like the opportunity to talk with someone.
Listening support
This involves up to two sessions, of up to an hour each, with a couple of people who are experienced in listening. It’s a safe and confidential space to talk about your feelings and experiences. The aim isn’t to provide answers, but to help you to make sense of those feelings and to find meaning in the experiences that you’d like to share.
Team members aren’t counsellors but may be able to signpost you towards professional support, if that might help further.
Deeper prayer ministry
Our prayer ministry team will pray with you at the end of each of our 10:30 am Sunday services. If you would like to do this more deeply we can arrange up to two sessions, of up to an hour each, to meet a couple of people who will listen to your needs and pray with you.
If you would like to find out more, either for yourself or for someone you know, please contact us in confidence:
