Be still and know that I am God
Psalm 46:10 We try to make prayer our first priority. Jesus often set aside time in his busy schedule to stop and pray. We try to do the same, to stop, to listen to God and what He is saying to us and to talk to Him about the things that give us joy and the things that trouble us. As well as praying by ourselves, we believe it is also important to pray together… Prayer is, naturally, an important part of all our services and homegroup meetings. Several homegroups share prayer requests with one another by email. We produce a Prayer Diary each week as part of the notice sheet we distribute at each Sunday service. On Sundays, a team meets to pray before every 10:30 am service to listen to God. We offer individual Prayer Ministry during Communion or at the end of each 10:30 am Sunday service. We’ve turned our vestry into a Prayer Room and open it from time to time during the day for meditation and silence. Each Tuesday the church office team starts its working day by praying together from 9:10 to 9:30 am. We hold at least six whole-church Prayer Gatherings a year. |
